The policies below apply if you are joining others on a tour listed on our Schedule, or if you have booked a private (“Just for You”) Tour of up to 6 participants. Advance reservations are strongly advised. Please provide as much time as possible to help us help you create your dream adventure. We strive to answer all queries quickly. When you submit the completed form, we’ll contact you, usually within 24 hours, to work out details of your private adventure. Please check your spam filter if you haven’t received a response. You can also call us at 912-236-8115. If our staff is all out teaching or leading tours, we will reply as soon as possible.
Changes & Refunds: We love what we do, and we want to heighten your enjoyment of our beautiful coast! We will make every effort to operate your program so as to accomplish your goals and give your group an enjoyable experience, making reasonable substitutions as necessary. In the unlikely event that we must cancel a program (e.g., for safety reasons) we will refund your payment in full! If you need to cancel, see “Cancellations” below.
When you are confirmed on a tour, we will send you directions to your tour starting point (usually a google map link), a reminder of things to bring and wear, and the cell phone number of your WiSE guide. We will also give your cell phone number to your guide. If something happens to make you late for your tour, please call your WiSE guide!
Fees for your private nature adventure will vary according to program length, number in your party, the need for boats, and other special requests. Compare fees for these “Just For You” tours here. Fees for Scheduled Tours are posted with each tour on the Schedule page. Payments may be made online by charge card, or by mailing a check to be received prior to your program. Waiver: We require a signed assumption of risk form from every participant, (parent or guardian for minor participants). Download the Waiver-WiSEParticpntRelease or ask us to email one. If you are coming with someone else please make copies for everyone in your party to complete and sign. We must have a completed form for each participant prior to starting your tour. Please be sure you have all the requested information and appropriate signature for each participant.
Deposits: Scheduled Tours are booked with a single payment, usually online, but a check mailed in advance is also fine. Once a Private Tour is designed for you, a deposit of 50% will reserve your dates, your expert guide, and all appropriate equipment. If it will be received prior to your adventure, your check, payable to Wilderness Southeast, may be mailed to 3025 Bull St., #302, Savannah, GA 31405. If you prefer, are paying in other than US currency, or if time is tight, please make full payment online – using the appropriate “Buy Now” button from your chosen tour detail page. We also can often accept cash payments at the start of your tour. Please confirm by email message if you need to pay in cash at the start of the Tour. Cancellations are best received in writing (email is OK!), and we also appreciate a call if it is possible for you to do both. We will confirm your cancellation by email. Cancellations received over 48 hours prior to your tour will receive a full refund. After that time, cancellations will generate a 50% refund. No refunds can be given to those who fail to arrive within 15 minutes after their tour starting time, or who cancel within 12 hours of the program.
